Ahead of their appearance at the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg this month, we’d like to introduce the England Team – every one of whom will be using our Signature Knives.

England Culinary Team Coach and Captain

Team Coach: Nick Vadis

Nick is Culinary Director at Compass Group UK & Ireland and started his culinary career in the armed forces, training at the Royal Naval Supply School and went on to become Head of Cookery Training for the New Royal Naval Cookery School. He has an appetite for great food and creativity and was rewarded for his dedication to the foodservice industry by receiving the Lifetime Achievement – Contract Catering Award at the Cost Sector Catering Awards 2018.

Team Captain: Simon Webb

Simon’s culinary career began like most chefs working as a pot wash while a teenager in his local pub. Since then Simon’ career has been remarkable, he was British Culinary Federation Chef of the Year 2012; he has a Gold Medal from the Culinary Olympics 2016, in 2017 he was The Craft Guild of Chefs’ National Chef of the Year; he headed up the kitchen at the Langham hotel in London and also ran the private dining by Roux. Now he is Head Chef of the Aurum Restaurant at The Seven Hotel in Southend-on-Sea.
