Radford Cutlery Collection Nominated for Design Award
The Radford Cutlery (Flatware) Collection has been nominated for a German Design Award 2020.
The German Design Council, which runs the awards, has announced that the collection has been shortlisted for inclusion in the Excellent Product Design Tabletop category. The awards ceremony will be held at Ambiente 2020, in Frankfurt.
Being one of the most significant international design accolades, a nomination for the German Design Awards is something the team at Robert Welch Designs are very proud to receive. Only those organisations who the council consider represent pioneering contributions to the German, and international design landscape, are invited to take part.
Radford owes its origins to the contours and balance of traditional eighteenth century English cutlery, and with 65 individuals pieces, it is one of the most extensive collections of stainless steel cutlery available in the world.
The versatility of the design, combined with the extensive range, means that it is flexible enough to complement any table setting: whether that’s an intimate kitchen supper for two, or a celebration gourmet seven course menu within one of our hospitality customers’ fine dining settings.
A highly esteemed international jury of experts select the winners, and we are honoured to have Radford amongst the nominations. We look forward to the announcements which are scheduled to be made during the autumn, with the accompanying award ceremony being held to coincide with the international consumer goods fair Ambiente 2020 (7th – 11th February, Frankfurt, Germany).
